What is the call-out fee and how is it calculated?
The call-out fee covers the Scan-Van’s travel to and from your location. It’s calculated based on distance and drive time from our Melbourne metro base, with a $40 minimum. Our live calculator on the pricing page gives you a close estimate for your suburb before you get in touch. It measures from the centre of the suburb, so your exact figure depends where you are within it, and we confirm that when you request a visit. The fee is separate from the per-scan cost and applies once per visit, regardless of how many people are scanned.
Is there a minimum group size to request the Scan-Van?
No. The Scan-Van can visit a single individual at their home, workplace, or any preferred location, as long as the call-out fee is covered. Individual pricing applies for groups of 4 or fewer ($65 initial scan, $55 subsequent). Groups of 5 or more unlock tiered group pricing where the per-scan cost drops as the group grows and as scan commitment increases.
How far in advance should I request a visit?
Two to three weeks’ notice is ideal, especially for weekends or regional locations where the Scan-Van may already be booked. Shorter notice is often possible for Melbourne metro weekday visits. Use the preferred date and alternative dates fields in the form so we can confirm a slot that works for both of us.
What areas does the Scan-Van service?
Greater Melbourne and Regional Victoria, from Geelong across to the far south west, the far south east and the far north of the state. See our regions we service page for the full list and to check whether your area is already part of our regular rotation.
Those regions are where the Scan-Van runs regular clinics, but they are not a boundary. Requesting a visit is exactly how we reach everywhere else. The further out you are, the more the call-out fee reflects the distance, so a single scan a long way from Melbourne is rarely worth it. A gym, a clinic, a workplace or a decent-sized group is a different matter entirely, because that fee is charged once per visit no matter how many people are scanned. The Scan-Van is a purpose-built mobile clinic delivering InBody 970 body composition scans and ECAL metabolic testing at any location: homes, gyms, sporting clubs, medical practices, corporate offices, schools, aged care facilities, community events, and private group sessions. A call-out fee applies based on distance and drive time from our South Morang base, starting at a $40 minimum, and is charged once per visit regardless of how many people are scanned. If the Scan-Van is already heading your way on another day, a visit then can cost considerably less, so we will always tell you about nearby clinic days that could save you money. Individual pricing is $65 for an initial scan and $55 for subsequent scans. Group pricing starts at five clients per session, with per-scan costs dropping as group size and scan commitment increase. ECAL metabolic testing is available as part of a combined appointment that includes an InBody scan in the same session.
