Get to Know Your Body… Properly!

With the InBody 970, we don’t guess – WE ASSESS!

Step on. Hold still. In 70 seconds, you’ll have a detailed report showing exactly what’s going on under the surface –  muscle, fat, fluid, and much, much more.

What is the InBody 970?

This isn’t your average body fat scale. The InBody 970 is a medical-grade body composition scanner. It’s easily the most advanced Bioelectrical Impedance Analyser (BIA) in the world.

Trusted by health professionals, elite coaches, and researchers worldwide, It gives you a proper snapshot of your body – way beyond weight or BMI.

Whether you’re chasing performance goals, managing health, or just curious about what’s happening under the surface, this scan gives you the numbers that actually matter.

What we measure

With every scan, you get a full breakdown of your total body composition. We measure everything you’re composed of – including all of the fluids, fats, muscles, minerals, etc. This is the most comprehensive and accurate way to measure and then with future scans, monitor what’s changing over time.

You’ll get a printout of your results, as well as access to your data on the InBody App.

Every appointment always includes a comprehensive and insightful coaching session, to explain the results, and give you the data driven advice you need to succeed.

Here’s a comprehensive list of what we measure… click each section to expand and see all the details:

  •  The InBody 970 takes 40 impedance measurements (8 frequencies across 5 body segments: right arm, left arm, trunk, right leg, left leg).
  • Frequencies include 1 kHz, 5 kHz, 50 kHz, 250 kHz, 500 kHz, plus 1 MHz, 2 MHz, and 3 MHz for improved fluid differentiation and metrics that other scanners simply can’t measure.
  • Results are printed on dedicated Result Sheets: Body Composition & Body Water, as well as optional Evaluation, Research, Comparison, Child-specific, and more.

  •  Weight
  • Total Body Water (TBW)
  • Intracellular Water (ICW)
  • Extracellular Water (ECW)
  • ECW-to-TBW Ratio
  • Protein Mass
  • Mineral Mass
  • Soft Lean Mass
  • Fat‑Free Mass
  • Body Fat Mass

  •  Skeletal Muscle Mass (SMM)
  • Muscle‑Fat Analysis (comparison: SMM vs Body Fat Mass)
  • Segmental Lean Mass – arms, legs, trunk independently
  • Segmental Fat Mass – by limb and trunk

  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Percent Body Fat (PBF)
  • Visceral Fat Area & Level
  • Waist-Hip Ratio
  • Body Adiposity Index

  • Segmental Water Analysis (ICW, ECW, TBW by segment)
  • Segmental ECW/TBW Ratios
  • ECW Ratio Balance

  • Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
  • Phase Angle – whole-body (50 kHz)
  • Segmental phase angle at 5 kHz, 50 kHz, and 250 kHz for each limb + trunk
  • InBody Score (overall composite score)

  • Body Cell Mass, Protein, Mineral status
  • Skeletal Muscle Index (SMI)

  • T‑Scores and Z‑Scores for key metrics like: Weight, BMI, PBF, SMM, FMI, SMI, Visceral Fat Area, ECW ratio
  • Comparison to global average and age-group norms via InBody Big Data

  • Blood Pressure Metrics

When paired with our InBody BP monitor:

    – Systolic & Diastolic BP

    – Pulse Rate

    – Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP)

    – Pulse Pressure

    – Rate Pressure Product (RPP)

  • Hand Grip Strength (InGrip)

When used with our InBody InGrip device, the system can also assess:

Max grip strength (left & right)

    Average grip strength

Grip strength relative to body weight

    – Results can be integrated with InBody scan data for sarcopenia risk assessment, helping to identify muscle weakness, age-related muscle decline, and frailty risk.

How we scan you

The scan takes just 70 seconds. Here’s how it works:

  1. Take off your shoes and socks and excess clothing like jackets, etc.

  2. Clean and hydrate your hands and feet with our wet-wipes.
  3. Step onto the platform and hold the handles.

  4. The scanner sends multiple frequencies of tiny currents of electricity through your body (you won’t feel a thing, and its absolutely safe).

  5. Your results appear instantly in our computer and we print the results for you. Simultaneously, your results will arrive in your InBody App.

  6. We have a great chat about all of your data, and your lifestyle, exercise and nutrition habits, goals, etc. Coaching you comprehensively and intelligently is all part of the service.
